- Scientific support for cognitive function
Carnitine is an essential cofactor necessary for the transport of long-chain free fatty acids into the inner mitochondrial matrix, where they enter the beta oxidation pathway for cellular energy production.
There are several forms of carnitine, but acetyl-ʟ-carnitine (ALC) is the preferred active form which has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and therefore may be useful in conditions affecting the nervous system.
ACETYLCARNITIN SAP:
- Helps support cognitive functions in the elderly.
- Helps reduce fatigue.
- Helps optimize cellular energy production (fatty acid metabolism).
