Adreno Calm is a calming combination of L-theanine, phosphatidylserine and herbal extracts. L-theanine is an amino acid present almost exclusively in tea, which temporarily promotes relaxation. It passes quickly from the intestine to the blood where it is transported to important organs, notably the brain. By acting on the release of neurotransmitters, including dopamine, GABA and serotonin, L-theanine effectively promotes a state of relaxation. Clinical research demonstrates that an intake of 200 mg of L-theanine significantly increases alpha waves in the brain within 30 minutes of ingestion, indicating a relaxed and alert mental state. L-Theanine has been shown to promote relaxation when taken at rest, after performing stressful mental tasks, and after strenuous physical activity tests. Phosphatidylserine is a naturally produced component in cell membranes that promotes normal cellular communication and membrane fluidity. Adreno Calm also includes standardized extracts of magnolia and sorrel, which are plants used in Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic medicine respectively.
