- A highly bioavailable, soy-free and clinically reliable liposomal curcumin.
- 60:1 curcumin extract provides the dried herb equivalent of 2,520 mg per capsule
- Soy-free liposomal formulation achieves one of the highest curcumin blood levels (up to 333 ng/mL) compared to other curcumin formulations
- 7.5 times more bioavailable compared to a standard curcumin extract and 5 times more bioavailable than soy-based liposomal curcumin formulas
- Indicated for acute and chronic inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, mood disorders and cardiovascular diseases
Curcumin has become one of the most researched and supplemented herbal extracts in the world. As the active ingredient found in turmeric root, curcumin has a wide variety of health applications. The health benefits of curcumin can generally be attributed to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions, inhibiting the action of NF-Kappa B and decreasing TNF-alpha levels for chronic inflammatory conditions.
Clinically, curcumin is best known for its ability to reduce pain, decrease stiffness, and increase range of motion in chronic pain conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Research trials have also shown that curcumin may be beneficial for other conditions with obvious inflammatory processes like inflammatory bowel disease and post-exercise muscle soreness. However, an explosion of recent research has found that curcumin may benefit conditions as diverse as mood disorders, poor cognition, hypertriglyceridemia, diabetic blood sugar regulation, and allergic rhinitis.
The problem with curcumin is that it is poorly bioavailable in its natural form. This limits its potential as an effective health supplement. Fortunately, Cyto-Matrix's Curcummatrix represents a significant technical advancement by providing extremely concentrated curcumin in a liposomal formula that is uniquely soy-free and highly bioavailable.
Each Curcummatrix capsule contains 42 mg of curcumin in a 60:1 extract to provide a dried herb equivalent of 2,520 mg of curcumin. Additionally, the liposomal formula actually increases bioavailability by 7.5 times compared to a standard curcumin extract and 5 times compared to soy-based liposomal curcumins. Bioavailability studies have shown that curcumin blood peaks reach 333 ng/mL after 5 hours with 2 capsules of Curcummatrix. This is significantly higher than most curcumin formulations, with blood peaks typically only reaching <50 ng/mL. Together, the concentrated curcumin extract and unique liposomal formula make Curcummatrix a predictable and reliable option for acute and chronic inflammatory processes.
