Digest Plus is a complete digestive formula containing natural enzymes and betaine hydrochloride to reduce bloating after high-calorie, high-fat meals. Betaine hydrochloride is frequently used to control stomach acid levels, especially in people with gastric hypochlorhydria. In a recent clinical trial, a single 1500 mg dose of betaine hydrochloride was able to reduce stomach pH in healthy participants with drug-induced gastric hypochlorhydria by the proton pump inhibitor rabeprazole.
