Disc Flex has been specially formulated to relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis and promote bone health. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition characterized by painful joint inflammation. It may be associated with joint stiffness, limitation of joint functions and a reduction in quality of life. Although it can affect any joint, it commonly affects the knees, hips and spine. Research has shown that people with osteoarthritis have elevated levels of reactive oxygen species, which can stimulate the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (enzymes that break down cartilage). The evolved nature of this product allows it to reduce inflammatory mediators and reactive oxygen species while maintaining healthy calcium metabolism. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of devil's claw have been found to help relieve joint pain caused by osteoarthritis. It reduces inflammatory mediators and cartilage destruction while stimulating the activity of endogenous antioxidant enzymes. Grape seed extract and alpha lipoic acid provide additional antioxidant protection. Vitamin D and vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) promote bone health by contributing to healthy calcium metabolism in the intervertebral discs.
