HM Complex is designed to support antioxidant defense while promoting liver health and immune function. A blend of ingredients, including chlorella, lipoic acid, N-acetyl-L-cysteine ​​(NAC), selenium and vitamin C, scavenge free radicals. These antioxidants may also help regulate oxidative stress caused by heavy metals (such as mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead, and tin) resulting from common low-level environmental exposure. Additionally, NAC provides important support to the liver by increasing glutathione concentration. Likewise, L-methionine, an essential amino acid, supports glutathione production and healthy liver function, including phase II detoxification pathways. HM Complex also contains modified citrus pectin and zinc. The unique characteristic of modified citrus pectin is that it has a low molecular weight, which allows it to easily cross the intestinal barrier. Zinc is essential for a wide range of physiological processes and is part of a cysteine-rich protein capable of binding with metals. By promoting healthy activity of neutrophils, natural killer cells and T lymphocytes, zinc plays an important role in supporting the immune system.
