HMF Fit for School (preservative format) is a combination of research-derived human strains of probiotics, vitamin C and vitamin D3 that supports gastrointestinal health and helps reduce the incidence of upper respiratory infection (URTI) symptoms in children. Research into the use of the probiotic strains contained in the HMF Fit for School formula (Lactobacillus acidophilus CUL-21 and CUL-60, Bifidobacterium bifidum CUL-20 and Bifidobacterum animalis subsp. lactis CUL-34), in addition to 50 mg of vitamin C, has shown a significant reduction in the incidence of URTIs, the number of days with URTI symptoms, the incidence of sore throat and cough, duration of sore throat and school absenteeism, and a reduction in the use of antibiotics in the group that received probiotics compared to the placebo group.
