HMF Intensive contains a combination of probiotics clinically proven to support normal gut flora following antibiotic therapy and significantly reduce irritable bowel (IBS) symptoms in adults and children over 11 years of age. Additionally, a clinical study found that taking supplements containing this probiotic formula daily for eight weeks significantly improved six measures of IBS symptoms (symptom severity score, abdominal pain, bloating, days with pain, satisfaction with bowel habits, and quality of life). Specifically, taking probiotics led to a 22% reduction in symptoms on days with intestinal discomfort, a 32% improvement in satisfaction with bowel habits and a 30% improvement in quality of life. Compared to placebo treatment, satisfaction with bowel habits and change in symptom severity score showed significant improvement after six weeks.
