- Restores and promotes glutathione synthesis
- Strengthens immune and antioxidant defenses
- Reduces oxidative stress
- Supports the body's natural detoxification process.
Both cysteine and glycine are precursors necessary for the synthesis of glutathione (GSH), and combining them promotes intracellular glutathione levels. Glutathione, one of the main endogenous antioxidants, acts in the body to recycle other antioxidants and protect the body from free radicals as well as to promote detoxification. Found in virtually every cell in the body, it plays an essential role in supporting cellular function. Increased glutathione levels have been associated with reduced oxidative stress. In addition to its antioxidant support role, glycine is also involved in protein synthesis, contributing to muscle regeneration and the preservation of muscle mass.
