Liquid Pure Tranquility provides a delicious and convenient combination of neurotransmitters, including gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and Suntheanine® L-theanine to support relaxation. GABA is one of the main inhibitory neurotransmitters in the body. It calms the nervous system. Suntheanine® is a patented pure form of L-theanine, a unique amino acid extracted from tea. Both GABA and L-theanine enhance the production of alpha waves in the brain, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. In an open-label trial, GABA promoted alpha waves and restricted beta waves within 1 hour of administration. In a preliminary study, L-theanine increased the production of alpha waves in the occipital and parietal areas of the brain, an indicator of relaxation, without causing drowsiness. L-theanine also reduces the effects of caffeine on the central nervous system, which is another example of how it promotes relaxation.
