This whey is combined with sunflower lecithin (non-GMO), which makes it easier to dissolve in water and reduces foaming during brewing. Optimal whey digestion is crucial for the breakdown of “native” whey into bioactive peptides in the gastrointestinal tract. Stomach acid plays an important role in denaturing whey proteins so that pancreatic enzymes can access them to cleave them into peptides and ultimately amino acids.
